Hi Jenny, I'll be joining you soon last member is in the shower. Rose, I do feel for you. I broke my leg two years ago and was helpless for 8 weeks as I could not put any weight on it at all. The family had to rally round as stuff had to be done. It's taught them to help out more and me to be a bit more relaxed about standards. Knowing that things need to be done but being unable to do them is very frustrating. I hope you feel better soon. Gwynne

Rose, I would not try to do too much at all, if you are still feeling weak. My flu lasted three weeks, all over Christmas and the New Year. It took me weeks to get over it, I too had never known anything like it. If I was living nearby, I would come and do a bit of housework for you. Saying that, I am not even sure where about's you are. Jenny.

Rose it sounds as if you need to give yourself more time yet to get over that flu. It's hard I know when you see things around the house that want doing. It's the little things that get to you, when you are low. 4 adults in this house have had further education, 3 of them have degrees.... but... where is their know-how when it comes to replacing a toilet roll? I hope you feel alot better this week. Gwyn

Rose, I know exactly how you feel, it is the same in our house. You suffer while you are ill, then suffer again, trying to catch up with all the mess they have made. Who'd be a woman. Jenny.

Gwynne Glad to hear that about your Dad. I've not spoken to Mum on the phone since Thursday as I'd lost my voice. I hope we can chat today though. Rose Are you feeling better? You always make your area seem so inviting. I'd like to explore that countryside one day. Gwyn

It's much easier to work without others in the house isn't it? My son's shift pattern disrupts my plans sometimes but I don't need much excuse. Gwyn

Good morning everyone. Lovely sunny morning here in Tynemouth. Hope you all had a good weekend. I did. Spoilt on Saturday. Four new pairs of Wranglers, two new coats and two tops. Then was taken out for a pub lunch. Hubby has just left for work, son stayed at his girlfriends yet again, but will be in for a quick cuppa, pick up his sandwiches and off to work in ten minutes flat. Then daughter will be off to school by 8.40. Then I have the whole house to myself till 4pm. Have loads of work to do, so have said to myself' I shall not go on the PC till its all done' Wonder who will win. Me or the PC? Will just have a quick cuppa with you all. Jenny x
