Hi All As some of you are aware I have not smoked for 3 weeks, Found out yesterday I have skin cancer on my leg!!! Ironic eh!!!!!!!! Am going in monday to hopefully have it removed, Not a sun worshipper, in fact hate the heat so it's not always the sun. Keep all crossed for me and will update when i can Jan

Jan Thanks for putting this up. Just the kick up the backside I needed to go to the doc's and have a mole of mine looked at. It's getting bigger and darker. Good luck on Monday Jeanette x

Jan possitive thoughts to you, my sister had to have 2 lots removed last year, now all is well so keep your fingers crossed and I will do the same that you have the same good luck she had. Bev

jan i hope everything goes ok. i work with the elderly and a couple of them have had skin cancer.they are now fine. and as you say,its not always the sun that causes it. good luck susie

Thank you all for your lovely replies, Got leaky eyes now, Jeanette..... Make sure you go and get it checked. Thought my husband was being paranoid about this,as he spotted it on the back of my calf and said it had changed shape, but like he said unless I am double jointed I wouldn't of seen it anyway, still waited 2 months before getting it checked and now thank god I did, Let me know how you get on please Thanks again everyone Jan

Good luck on Monday Jan, and WELL DONE for giving up smoking :o) My 24 year old daughter (also a smoker) has a mole/birthmark on her calf too. She has had it since she was a young child, and I think it's changing shape. She refuses to go and have it checked out. I will show her this thread and see if it will persuade her to get hers checked. Will have my fingers crossed for you on Monday. Sue (ex smoker for 2 years next month) xx

Good luck for Monday Jan. I had a mark on my leg 4 years kept asking different doctors what it was as i love the sun they kept saying its nothing finalilly my last doctor sent me to the hosiptal and i found out it wasn't what i thought. All the best Julie :0))

Hi Sue Tell your daughter iv'e had this freckle(and thats all it was) since birth as well but it has just started changing shape and I'm nearly 40 (YIPPEE NEARLY THERE) So I would advice anyone to get them checked Jan
