Parents with young girls keep this in mind!! Right ladies this is going to get you really peed off LOL. I have never shaved my legs my mum would not let me (you no back in the days when you would never go against your mums word)LOL she use to say once you shave them you will always have to so I didn,t and don,t I get a few little hairs under my knees but I pluck them out ouch!!. And I wax under my arms I have been doing it for about 2 years now and they are really fine now and nice and soft, I do it once a week but can go every other week as they are so fair. I do think Wax is they way to go, but not hot wax that burns lol, it takes a while to get use to it, I am trying to get my daughter to do it now sick of seeing bits of tissue stuck over her body pmsl. Ali, you missed one off your list ..... I've got one of those epilators! Don't believe all you read about them - yes it is very painful the first few times, but then it really doesn't hurt much AND the hairs grow back much finer and fewer. I'm dark-haired so I'm really pleased with the results. I don't fancy trying it anywhere else other than legs though, good old Bic razor for underarms. I saw a sugaring demonstration years ago when it first came out and it looked too gloopy to be able to pull hairs out - although it seemed to work. I think there must be some kind of knack involved.

Normally have it all waxed but the lady who does it is ill at the moment so I'm having to shave. Going to undo all her good work if I don't temporarily decamp to another salon. Shaving makes the hairs strong and stubbily but waxing definitely weakens them and they grow back slowly and softer. Not tried sugaring yet. Maybe once she's better. Daisy

Sorry - but do any women, or men for that matter, think the feel of stubble on the legs is attractive and sexy? I guess i am unlucky because i have very dark, thick hair - great on the head but not on the legs. lol I tried shaving my legs when i was a teen - shaved in the morning and had 5-o-clock shadow! The first time i had a wax job was back in the 60s - and i confess i smoked something stronge before going. lol And yes, it did hurt - but oh the wonder of smooth, hair free legs! After that i would have a wax quite regularly but over the years reduced it to just the summer season or holidays. BUT - half my legs are now bald anyway! One very good point of waxing is that it does eventually kill some of the hair roots.... and what does grow isnt as tough as when shaved. Now i dont bother to remove leg hairs at all and i stopped shaving my armpits many moons ago. Mother nature gave them to us for a reason, after all. lol And what is that all about with men shaving/waxing their chests!?!?!?! Sue (the hairy but not ashamed one)
