Lou, I know you better than most people on here, and I KNOW that you are not just a good Mum, but a brilliant one too. Bex is lucky to have parents like you and Cliff - so don't worry yourself!

Lou,, Wish mine would be home soon, sadly though he is at university and is now off for three weeks. He works too but isnt in for another week as he has to use up his holidays before the end of March. I cant grumble because he's a good lad and although I say he will be drinking I know he wont consume too much as its not his thing. He thinks that because he isnt a lout that I shouldnt worry about him and should go to bed... yeah right!! Its not him I worry about its the others out there :-( Shaz xx

Lou,,, I know what you mean my eldest is almost 19 and he is still my baby :-) He is however out tonight and no doubt consuming alcohol and I wont sleep until he gets in... mind you saying that he'll probably ring me at 3am to tell me that he has gone back to the halls of residence with a crowd of his friends from Uni for a gathering (roughly translated as I'm with a girl) It doesnt matter how many you have or how old they get they are always still 'Our Babies' and as Bex is 17 then maybe a wee drink of something would numb the pain... LOL Shaz xx

Lou tell the little Darling that Dr Shaz takes back all that she said and when my little Darlings try alcohol they usually find that throat pain isnt the problem more a neck pain from where I wrap my hands tight around it!!! LOL Shaz xx

Hi Lou Glad that Bex is feeling a bit better and that the thread has cheered her up. I suffered terrible with Tonsilities when I was small and know how painfull it can be and how poorly it makes you feel. Bex..... tell mum that ice-cream helps,,, lots and lots of ice-cream, especially Chocolate chip or Toffee flavours or rasberry ripple or any that you like..... LOL. Infact tell her that Dr Shaz finds that lots of anything that you like will be good for you!! Deanna.... You cant be the worlds worst I told you its my mother in law!! LOL Shaz xxx

Hi Lou, Poor old Bex. They just overdo it at that age don't they! They wouldn't go to the doctor anyway half the time - even if you nagged them. Glad she's all tucked up in bed now, with her medication. I'm off for 5 days to Christchurch in the South Island with Wayne. Going to see Mark Knophler and R.E.M. Should be good! Christine

No you're not Lou, you're a great mum! At least Bex is sorted now and getting plenty of medication and sympathy :) I was the world's worst mother once when Jordan was little - took him to have his feet measured and he was wearing shoes that were a size too small - did I feel guilty???? Mandy :)
