Just keep nudging this thread to the top of the page, every day if you need to. I contacted a lovely man through this site who looked through electoral rolls and found my 3 aussie cousins for me! I'm sure that someone out there will help you if you nag enough! Good Luck, Maggy |

Im hoping it might be easier to read, putting my request on a thread this way!!! I have been unable to find my paternal Grandfather!! We don't know him at all!!! He is supposed to have been born about 1881, in Sydney Australia!!!! We believe he was in the army!!! The Machine Gun Corps!! Either during or after WW1 he came over to England, MANCHESTER!!! After he left the army he became a Draughtsman, could this have been his profession before the outbreak of war? (is there such a list for apprentices in Oz?) He was known as FREDERICK HENRY GEORGE!!!! of course he could have been HENRY FREDERICK GEORGE???? He may have died in Manchester or London in 1927??!!!! I WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE IN AUSTRALIA AND ENGLAND!!! WHO HAVE BEEN TRYING TO FIND SOMETHING FOR ME ALREADY!!! PLEASE PLEASE CAN ANYONE HELP ME???? HOPEFULLY!!!! Val of course I don't with all the help us Aussies get from all of you over there the least we can do , I'm trying to find another bloke for an english girl at the moment but I did get from her his army no. but I will see if I can find him without it and the name you knew him as was probably the name he enlisted with. Not really that experienced but will try hard for you ok and by then somebody else may come on who can help too love Lara x |
