Vets are more qualified than doctors. I've used Lignocaine for dehorning calves but I'v never injected a person, only animals. Ros I'm not a vet. |

None of the vets are open here today but it'll probably be easier for me to get an appointment to see a Vet than a local Doctor or Dentist! becsh |

Just get yourself down to the Off Licence - small bottle of Bells will do, and when home liberally rub the gums with the stuff - use your finger, no one will ever know!! I guarantee it will work - mind you, you will stink like an Alki but you won't care!!! Trust me, I'm not a Doctor (or Vet or Dentist) Jacqui |

Linda - One's halfway through and I'm not feeling any wiser! Jacqui - Good plan... surely it'd work quicker if I gargled with the whiskey...? PMSL becsh |

No it won't work quicker - you need to dip your foreginger in the glass of whiskey, and rub rub rub the blasted place and repeat and repeat and repeat (dip and rub, dip and rub) until the whole area is numb (and until the whiskey is all gone)! Do try not to do it in front of the window, as the neighbours might think you are slightly batty! Jacqui |

When mine were hurting over 20 years ago hubby bought me smarties!!!!!! They did help!!!!! Plus - forget rubbing the whiskey on - just drink it - LOTS of it!!!!!!! Eventually had the b's out last year as they were nothing but trouble. Cheerful surgeon told me that if they need to come out they are better done sooner rather than later as the longer they're in the more they hurt when they come out - he was right!! Echo what someone else said - get yourself to the dentist and if there's the slightest suggestion they need to come out, have it done while you are young!!!!! Hope you feel better soon!!! Maggie |

Thanks Maggie Not feeling too bad now, feel like I can speak again (thank goodness!) Just annoyed because of the timing, this week is an important week for me workwise and I don't need to be worried about drooling and an inability to speak!! becsh |
