Hi Elaine According to thw 1881 census thats a brother but here's a wierd twist the one that ran away was known as George. I have written to Chelsea Hospital to see if its the same Sargeant Ives that used to head the parade at the rememberance march (Chelsea pensioners) on the BBC prog during the sixties (something my late auntie Doll said) Malc

Hi Joy. Thanks for asking (and Jude sorry didnt reply) Mum has a bit more colour and the Bloods came back fine so its a mystery. She still gets dizzy spells and I am a bit worried as I am in Blackpool for a few days(USDAW ADM) next week. She has a phone in every room, my ex wife no2 is just around the corner and the house opposite keeps an eye out but well you know. Malc

Problem is Joy that according to BMD My great grandparents didnt marry until 1889.?????

Joy

Joy Report 18 Apr 2005 20:40

well, as Jess says the marriage certificate is in the post, how about waiting until then; you can then send for the birth certificate saying providing that his father is ............... . Malc, you could order it from the register office saying that. :-) Joy
