Welcome to the world of the retired where there are never enough hours in the day to do all you want to do. (Especially if you spend hours on here!) Ann Glos |

Enjoy your retirement, Margaret. I am SO envious ! Next year I will have completed 40 years continuous full-time employment - and I'll still have 4 more years 'til I'm 60 ! |

Well done. But don't bank on getting a 'well deserved rest'. Most retired folk I know reckon they are even busier - although it makes an enormous difference doing what you want instead of what someone else wants. Len |

Margaret, There is nothing like retirement. I have spent most of today, which has been cool and showery, doing patchwork and having breaks for a read. It is wonderful to have time for yourself. Enjoy a long and happy retirement. Rosemary(Essex) |

Margaret, I have quoted this expression before. It is absolutely true and comes from france ' young old age is the time of your life'... get out and enjoy youself while most things are in place and hopefully working well. Happy days( from an older one, speaking from experience0. |

Margaret - well done you! Enjoy every moment of your well earned retirement. I always remember my dad saying after he retired that he was so busy he didn't know how he had ever had time to go to work!! Lucy x |
