Think I have the flu today - not 'man flu' ie a cold, proper flu, sweating buckets overnight and had the shakes... entire body aches. Was fine till last night, suddenly got a sore through, got rapidly worse overnight :( |

You poor old thing - keep warm, lots of fluid and plenty of rest. If you watch some daytime TV it should send you to sleep in no time but whatever you do don't watch the kids progs in the afternoon, they're dire these days. Hugs coming your way :-))))) |

Oh Paul, so sorry to hear you are not well. Hot Lemonade, a couple of slices of fresh lemon, a teaspoon of clear honey, shot of Famous Grouse separate from the lemonade if you wish and two Paracetomol. Always works wonders with me. Hope you feel better soon. Jenny x |

Just a thought Paul.If it doesn't go away in the usual time consider hay fever treatment,I reckon Combination H.My first bout of hay fever hit me like that at the age of 37.It was a reaction to oil-seed rape and the world seems to be covered in it this year. Whatever it is I hope you get over it in the quickest possible time. |

Much as it hurts me to admit it ... I think you could be right about it being flu. Dose yourself up, plenty of drinks and snuggle up under the duvet (alone is better in this instance). Love and hugs, get well soon, Mandy :) x |

Here's a (hug) for you - be warned though I got flu in Nov which then went to bronchitis, had antibiotics, inhalers and chest xray and the bloody thing is still hanging around, seems better for a day or two then flares up again, been told now my childhood asthma could be back. Just blame it on the good old british weather lol. Beve |

Paul,I am sorry love. Look after yourself as it is a really awful 'flu' I was ill for six weeks.I had all of the symptoms you describe aand a dreadful cough. The coughing exhausted me and it was that which lasted so long. The actual fever bit lasted a whole 7 days. I am usually one of these 3 days ill and bounce back types, but it floored me. I have never been so exhausted. Pamper yourself and rest as much as you can.Plenty of fluids and paracelemol-- Get well soon -HUGS ROSE |
