Hello Lucia This weekend I have been spending most of my time coughing... with a little sneezing as well. Alongside that I've been doing some work... and looking after my hungover wife :) Paul

Daniel Report 30 Apr 2005 15:18

Eating pasta (on it's own due to lack of anything else) and listening to music before I have to crack on finishing coursework for the exams at the end of May. :-(

Hello love, how are your exams? You alright ? Well, I have been hunting down my G.Grandad on a history site about miners, I knew they did not have much of a life, but I have found that to be an UNDERSTATEMENT! What have you done? Deanna ;-0)

Hi, well I had an exam yesterday - Art & Design. It was 5 hours long but I still didn't manage to finish. I hope I did alright. I have English on Wednesday and then Maths on Friday, Chemistry on Monday and then I have a week off. Lucia :-)

Ann, with it being so new, I hope they're going to compensate you for the loss of the contents ?

Deanna

Deanna Report 30 Apr 2005 15:28

Dont worry Lucia, you will be fine. You have done enough work for it all. Not finishing an exam means nothing. You are marked on the content........so wait and see. Deanna

Doing my OU assignment -1500 words-got about half done. On here for a break with my cuppa and pineapple cake -broken diet again! Tonight going to see daughter`s friend in amateur performance of 'Jesus Christ Superstar' Rosalyn

Deanna, just hope there's enough there! I did a self portrait but didn't finish painting it and didn't finish painting the background. Timing is my main problem in exams, especially in English. I find creative writing really boring so find it difficult to concentrate in exams. Lucia :-)

Rosalyn, Good luck with your assignment! My dad is doing an OU course in Spanish and he has a TMA to do. Lucia :-)

Deanna

Deanna Report 30 Apr 2005 15:45

Good luck to you Rosalynn. Hope it all goes well. Lucia, it was not long really for a painting was it? It would take quite a time to do one like that in 5 hours. Had you already decided what to do, or was it the project they gave you? I used to spend most of my time forming a picture............in my mind!!!!! You will be fine, I'm sure. Deanna

Hopefully yes Paul, the guarantee has a £200 pay out for loss of contents, wrote to them this morning. Shop (Apollo is replacing freezer, no problem there. They are very good.) I am a bit worried that this new freezer may not be suited to its position in the conservatory. we have had a freezer there for 13 years but i wonder if the new ones are more susceptible to the heat. It has been warm this week. But we did tell the manager when we bought it that we were putting it there and he didn't say anything. Ann Glos

We're going to a specialist herb farm tomorrow - I'm keen to get a herb garden going as fresh herbs are SO expensive! So I'll be sitting over my cauldron, chucking in a few eyes of toad and ears of bat along with the parsley and chives and muttering curses! We HAD planned a trip to London on Monday - hubby wanted to see an art exhibition at Tate, he booked tickets online last weekend. Well, no tickets had arrived by this morning so he phoned and there was no record of his booking even though he had a confirmation email! Inevitably, no tickets left now, so it looks like we'll be 'pottering'!

Deanna, We were given a choice of titles and I chose 'Baubles, Bangles and Beads'. I did a lot of preparation but still spent 75% of the time drawing. I thought we should have got an extra hour. Lucia :-)
