Well the storm hit Norfolk, and boy did it rain! My 14 month old dog didn't make a sound, and Hubby and eldest son never heard a thing. I was so pleased when my youngest mentioned all the rain and banging in the sky as i was beginning to think i had dreamed it all, lol Yvette |

Thought I had better go down the garden...which is on a slope. It must have been like Niagara Falls down the steps - whatever was on the top of the steps between each terrace (sounds flash that doesn't it - terrace? LOL - not really!) - ended up at the bottom and the barked area has been mashed to a brown sludge! - Oh well at least it smells nice! Magsxx |

Hi, Mags. Last night, just as Bob and I were getting the cats in for the night, he called me out. There was lightening going on just behind the clouds, and a faint rumble of thunder now and then. Don't know if you're on here, Dawn (Devon Dumpling), but did you see it? We watched it for a while, and it was quite impressive! We waited for the storm, but it didn't arrive, which surprised us. The air up in Bristol should be clearer now, though it's still muggy here in Devon. |

Had quite a lot of lightning here at 3.00 a.m.; some thunder to go with it, and a splash of rain. Lovely now...just got me shorts out of mothballs, put them on and they still fit!! Brian, ;-O |

Hi All If the storm came through Taunton last night I slept through it. We did get a lot of rain but I went to bed at 1-30 & no sign of a storm up to then. Sun is shining at the moment. Vivienne |

Storm here was amazing! it started with the loudest clap of thunder I'd ever heard! I thought something had blown up right outside the window - gave me palpitations for a good 5 minutes, the lightening and rain started almost straight away, and OMG did it rain! and yes my washing was still out!! I am usually a very light sleeper and hear things that no one else does but..... have to say, I was a bit surprised when daughter said this morning that we had a storm during the night. Now I am concerned that i didn't hear it!! Jacky:-) Wondered why the washing was still wet this morning! |
