Surprised about that, Jean. No-one would mention names surely, I've never seen that on the boards (name-mentioning in those circumstances). Oh well. It's a shame it was removed, as it was a good thread. |

Paul glad I sent it to work when I did, they loved it, so GR why did you remove it if it was you, or is the system throwing a wobbly again???? Bev |

Paul (Tigger) You are so right. On Sunday my 'Phantom Nudger' thread was removed by GR. I e.mailed for an explanation and was told they had removed it in case names were mentioned which would upset some-one. They did not tell me they were going to delete it. It just disappeared in a puff of smoke. The thought police are always on watch. Jean x. |

Going back to your reply to me Paul (thanks), I immediately thought of a product sold in all the high street chemists, that has a similar spelling, but with the middle letters reversed. The powers-that-be don't seem worried by that spelling! |

I think I might complain now.... Might also complain about the fact that as I'm complaining I can't have a sense of humour... And I'm also going to complain about people who are happy and laugh... lol (wonder if anyone will complain about me now?) |

Paul, Did I say someone had complained ? No. I said someone may have, since they'd sent a PM to me. I know that GR are fully capable of removing threads on their own, and have done in the past. In this instance, whatever the reason, I don't think it was justified thats all. Paul |

Suzy Thank you It's very kind of you someone else has sent me a copy, I have mentioned it on Paul's other other thread. As long as the majority don't let the minority win out. I hate the fact that people cannot put on these boards what they say in emails, if they haven't got the gall to do that then they should be ignored. Pat x |

I think the problem is Glenys that it contained, more than once, the word 'f*ck'. Just like that. With *. Shocking eh ? I've put an edited version on now ;) |

why does everyone automatically assume that a member has something to do with thread removals . Can genes staff not do this on their own if they deem it offensive or not right for the boards. Stop blaming members without proof its one of them, that is a big part of trouble caused on here. |

I always feel sorry for people like that. I wonder where the scar is for those who've had their sense of humour surgically removed ............. (No offence to those having undergone REAL surgery). Besides, Paul, who could take offence at one of your threads anyway?! I didn't see your thread either, more's the pity. |

Paul I can't see why it would cause offense, there are other threads here today that are far worse, one in particular has annoyed me, but i put a polite message up asking for it to be re-worded rather than send private messages as they only foster bad feeling. I hope you are able to re-post it as i would like to finish reading it, after all surely anyone who finds Billy Connelly and his language offensive would not want to read it anyway? Yvette |
