My husband is a 'Gordon Setter'. Very good with children , polite, loyal......all the things he is really. 'I' am an Italian Greyhound........................he has not stopped laughing yet! Anything less like a Greyhound, you could never find. Deanna |

Hmmm, ok, I'm a Saint German Setter, which is apparently derived from the crossing of an English Pointer & a French Setter. I'm also easy to train (!), show great intelligence but can be stubborn! |

What a fascinating, clever game! It says I'm a Portuguese Water Dog - a breed which arrived on the Iberian Peninsular with the Moorish invasions from North Africa. It has a long, dark, curly coat and looks like a large, unclipped poodle. It's found mainly on the Algarve coast (I wish!) and fishermen keep it to retrieve fish and fishing tackle lost overboard. It can rescue people from the water and deliver messages between boat crews, as it is hyper-intelligent (Doh!) and blessed with many natural talents (Wot?) and unique style (Pull the other one!). It's also apparently apprehensive of strangers (More apathetic then apprehensive in my case). Considering I've discovered I'm descended from a long line of merchant mariners, that pretty much fits the bill, although the 'hyper-intelligence' and 'natural style' are highly debatable! Gwynne, I hope you don't bite people like Basil, our cocker spaniel! Dan, I knew people who kept salukis - beautiful, slim, elegant dogs used for hunting and hawking in Arab countries. They run like the wind and are very highly strung and nervous of strangers. Paul, That makes you sound like a French cheeseburger! LMHO CB >|< |

It says I'm an American Cocker Spaniel which has a much thicker coat than the English Cocker Spaniel and has elegant trousers - I'll have to get some!! It is a useful all purpose gun dog, able to flush out and retrieve! It is also a popular show dog, makes a fine housekeeper - must tell my hubby - and is usually good with children. Kathy |
