Hi Jeanette You can get a waterproof dressing from any chemist so that you can bathe or shower. Failing that i would have to use some cling film and duck tape - lol. I cant go with out a shower every day! Vikki xx |

Dave They told me they were going to look after it but I did have my doubts when they submerged it in a vat of liquid! lol Kaz I had it removed as it had recently got bigger and gone darker. I was talking to a lady on here who had had some moles removed that had turned out to be cancerous so I decided it was better to be safe than sorry. The mole will now be sent away to be tested. |

Vikki Thanks for not telling me that before I went! lol I was expecting it to hurt once the anaesthetic had worn off but it hasn't bothered me at all. What does bother me is the fact that I won't be able to take a bath or shower for a week. Think my family will be wearing pegs on their noses by the weekend! lol |

Jeanette, im sure you will be fine, all will be well. Can i ask why you are having it removed? I have a big mole on my back which doesnt really bother me, it gets itchy now and again but apart from that i dont have any problems with it. Kaz x :)) |

Hi Jeanette Glad your back and okay. Least the scaffold sort of took your mind off it! Will they test it and when will you get the results - tho im sure it will be fine. Hubby had one took out of his head - a birth mark that went funny - 4 injections and was still painfull - too close to the bone i think. (didnt like to tell you that afor you went lol....... That was okay aswell tho. Vikki xx |

Hi Jeanette Glad you went and bet you are now? All done in no time, it's always the worry before hand rather than getting these things done, good you had something to take your mind off what was happening if you were that nervous. Take Care Pat x |

Hi Jeanette, I had a mole removed from my back just off to the right from my spine, I was 11 at the time and it was going from the biegh colour of my skink to black for about 2 months also kept going flush to my skin then coming out a a large lump!! Tha appointment at the hospital was rather quick and they froze my back. The Dr. said my roots on it were the longest he had ever seen they were 2' long with a good attachment. But I felt nothing and all was well the biopsy proved it was not cancerous but have to watch the others on my legs.. the day I had my stitches out I bent over the bannister and opened it back up now I have a messy scar... Hope all goes well for you, try not to worry Susie x |
