You know what they say, garbage in, garbage out. I don't save my conversations either.

I agree its not msn whos to blame for the problems.... operator error ie the people who use it to make hassle and problems for others. Since finding rellies on here has been great to chat to them in 'real time' instead of sitting waiting for '' you have mail !'' The latest version of Msn has cool features that allow you to be logged on as invisable too (or just appear invisable to certain people) handy if you dont feel like talking to some1 in particular. At the end of the day we all have freedom of choice. You can 'vet' who you want to receive emails from by simply deleting without reading or i know some ISP allow you to block emails/messages from certain people.

Hi June, I agree with you. People should remember that when others copy and paste or forward emails they can be altered before they are passed on. I view msn conversations as private chat and have mine set up not to save conversations. It would be like taking a tape recorder with you when you meet your mates for a drink. Gwynne

I think MSN is great but you know some people will misuse anything. The thing that annoys me is when someone copies parts of a conversation and changes the meaning completely. These people are just troublemakers but we get those everywhere. I will continue to use MSN with my friends. June xx

Well said Paul. MSN is my lifeline to keep in touch with my famliy and friends around the world. As a lot have said, it's the cheapest way to keep in touch and we can add the icons to reduce any possible friction. Well done Chunks Magi

I love msn and love to chat... can sometimes get in the way of research,,, but who cares... when a friendly nudge comes my way, I love it!! Have lots of contacts from GR and they are all lovely people, and when they want a break from anything, we chat, we don't invade others space either... if we are busy... we put it at the side of our names and we all know not to disturb them!! As Val said.... no cliques with us... just good, honest to goodness fun and laughter.!! Anne :)))

Msn messenger is great, I use it all the time to talk to friends and family, my daughter also sends me photo's via msn. Yes I have blocked some people from my list of contacts, either they have contacted me via other sites or from somewhere in cyber space, and they have been complete nutters. I hasten to add none have been from here. But there are a lot a very strange folk out there, that use the internet. Totally off Pauls topic, when I first got my pc many years ago and went on line, I had a look at some of the chat rooms that where about. OMG! But was good for a huge laugh, and then I surfed around, had another huge laugh, and surfed a bit more. Like I said some very wierd folk about.

I am sure I would find MSN very useful if I only knew how to use it. I note that I am actually 'logged on' to it at the moment but that is because of the GC photo page I seem to automatically log on when I come on here. but I have never worked out how to go on/operate the chat side. A bad workman always blames...... it is not the medium, it is the person operating it, the same as it is not this board that causes trouble but some of the members. Ann glos
