'thongs for the memories' seriously I dont mind them what I dont like to see is the bare midriff on heavily pregnant girls it looks ridiculous seeing navels protruding out like they can in late pregnancy. Dx

Oh Stu :-( Speaking as a youngish lady who wears thongs that do not show... I reckon most of these young girls know that they're displaying them and are doing it for attention!

Reckon they look awful on anyone. Can't stand the fashion for low trousers & short tops; makes even the slimmest person look fat. Helen

I see very young girls in those very low hipsters and I wonder if they could really handle the possible effect of some of the signals they give.

I knew a lady of 60 who bought her granddaughter of 12 years old three bikini's for her holidays and they were thong back, and all she said was well everyone wears then now, she said she does when she goes on holiday. Margaret.

I must admit that I would prefer my Bridgets to a thong any day but then I am over 50 so may be a thong would not look good on me................... have mentioned that to the other half who went a deathly shade of white at the thought of me in a thong............... Love and Peace Marianne.xxxx

Thongs - nasty and uncomfortable and look ridiculous showing over hipster trousers. Try hipster shorts. Lovely lacy ones in M&S. Very flattering, very comfortable and no VPL. Daisy

These are not the sort thongs for thinging with music, are they? totally confused, what with thrushes, strings, bums, what next? Derek in France

The Bag

The Bag Report 5 Jun 2005 21:35

I think they know EXACTLY what is showing - isnt that the point? They die rather than wear 'harvest' knickers- the sort where 'all is safely gathered in'

Pat Report 5 Jun 2005 21:35

Threads and thongs lol. whats next then Jenny? I hope its not the subject of big belly men walking around with no shirts, thats another thing I hate lol. Pat x

Pat. I am not a prude at all, but I really do think these young girls, just do not know how much they are showing and how it actually looks. Have just thought of a new thread. ?? Jenny.x

When I was younger and would pass navvies doing work on building sites or on the roads we would laugh or be disgusted with seeing these blokes Trousers being so far down it would show the upper part of their bum. horrible. I hated it then and I hate it now but now its young women bending down that you see same thing upper part of their bums and a some bits of strings. Medically wearing trousers that are too tight and thongs is very bad for your health. Looking at people's bums on the streets isn't good for my health. lol. Oops just realised I'm in your age group Jenny ;-) Pat x
