I have just agreed to let Gaynor Bear join The Pink Sahara Trek in March. It will be her first overseas trip. What do you all think? Jenny x

Great idea but she has to provide her own male bear for company... we're struggling as it is to get more male humans to join in!!! becx

Great idea & if you are serious about a boyfriend, I have a friend who keeps telling me she has a very large bear who would make an excellent partner for Gaynor. She's downsizing & has two to get rid of. Vivienne

I've just been to see my friends two bears & we'll have to drop that idea. She did say they were big but I didn't realise how big & heavy till I went to meet them. One of them would need his own seat & you would have to pay excess baggage if you took either of them. Vivienne

Oh Vivienne I can picture them now as I have one at my Ma's!! He was given to me for my 18th birthday!! :O)

Vivienne, Sorry I wasn't trying to tread on your toes earlier, I don't think I'd read your post on the thread. I just thought taking the monkey that Gaynor had bought, along with a bear named after her, on the trek that she has done much to inspire, seemed 'right'. I'll be taking 'cheeky' with me come what may, I'm aure all bears are welcome so long as they're of appropriate size to be dragged through the desert :) Paul

Hi Paul, I agree that the monkey is a far more suitable companion for GB even if these other two had been ok. He has a valid connection & thats what this is all about. I had never been on the Gen board before the announcement of Gaynors passing but I was so moved by the responses that I wanted to get involved. As long as my offers of help are responded to & not ignored I'm happy. I didn't feel you treading on my toes.
