Can't tell you what to do Jay but as someone said they have to pay or get out , that is the answer and any one else who comes in pays in advance and they stay in advance or leave tell them quietly and stay calm and explain as they havn't paid you you will all be thrown out as you didn't have the funds to put their share in and they don't owe it to you they owe it to the landlord this might make them pay up all the best keep your chin up Lara |

I dont know the history to this, but it seems to me your 'friends' are really taking the p***. Go today to the Citizens Advice Bureau. They will give you all the options you have. My son had a 'friend' living in his flat for 4 months and eating his food/using his facilities. He even gave the guy a lift to work every day. He had agreed a verbal rent with the guy - in the end he got about £100 for the whole time and then the guy just disappeared. It certainly taught my son a lesson. You cant put up with this sort of behaviour. Obviously they have no consideration for you, so you should look after yourself. |

Why don't you take them to the small claims court. If they are working then you could do an 'attachment of earnings' claim - nothing they can do about it then. Anna |

Jay, is there anyone there with you who could help, with moral support etc? You sound as if you're on your own there. It also sounds as if these people are thinking they can do what they like. Try and find the strength to put up a fight for your place! My thoughts are with you - take care, and please don't give up. Glenys x |

Jason, you cant see which way because you need someone outside the situation to advise you. PLEASE go to the Citizens Advice Bureau nearest you - explain the situation and they can help you. They can phone your landlord and explain the situation. They can support you if you evict the 'friends' and lots more. They will sort out the money problems, a bit at a time. You mustnt give up. You must stand up to these bullies and inconsiderate people. GET support yourself immediately. Heather xx |
