Marianne its not too easy to nudge, by mistake........usually its a decisive action, designed to jumpstart a thread to page one,after it has been apparently dormant for a while. Bob Unless, you enter a reply that later you wish you hadnt, then you can delete it! However phantom nudging is mischievously bumping a thread trying to avoid leaving a trace of who actually did the nudge.

Having said that, it (Phantom nudging )only appears to be annoying on the general topics board, On the TIPS board and RECORDS OFFICE boards it is mostly recommended because it the shortens the threads without them being cluttered. There have also been instances of controversial and/or out of date( by a long way) threads being ressurrected in this way Bob

I really must be quite thick. I've been a member of this site since Jan 2003, and I've only just now realised how you would delete a nudge. To the culprit, whoever you are, you really must be a bit sad If this is the only way you can find to amuse yourself. I think it's time to get a life. Christine.
