Good luck, I hope it goes well. I had a lump, not on my breast but on my shoulder, it was a cyst which I had removed. Will be thinking of you Laura xx |

I've got quite a few lumps in both breasts and have had two removed, which turned out to be harmless. The Doctor will just examine you and refer you to a specialist - this is routine. The specialist will most likely do a Biopsy - he use a very small needle to take a sample of the lump and may well be able to give you some idea of what you are dealing with then. I shall be thinking of you tomorrow - try not to worry too much. K x |

Hi all.. well i did it, i went to see the doc (finally) i walked into the room and burst into tears! i managed to mumble out what was wrong with me. She examined my breasts and found the lump, so i can tell my hubby now.. ''No dear is it NOT just my imagination!'' i have been refered to a specialist for either a biopsy or an ultrersound..apparently i will be seen in the next couple of weeks.. thankyou all for being so understanding and sharing your experiences with me, it's just nice to talk to people who understand. xxx |

That's the hardest part over! I'm sure everything will be fine. I have to go for a follow up ultra sound tomorrow. They want to check my cyst has fully gone. If not they will use a fine needle to drain it - I can assure everyone that having had it done twice before it is not painful at all. And this is from someone who hates pain, needles, doctors, hospital - well everything medical really. Jane xx |

Hi Sparkle hope all goes well for your appointment with the specialist.. Found lump myself too, also waiting for appointment, probably at Wm Harvey at Ashford. Have had several lumps and abscess removed in the past but this one feels different. Can't do anything, just have to pray for no bad news....and an appointment to get the ball rolling. Good wishes Jan |
