Yesterday I read a story on here that warmed the cockles of my heart. There is a lady on here who was offered a job at more than 3 times her present salary.Of course she was tempted to take it who wouldnt for all the extra cash. But the people where she works now begged her to stay because she was so important to them. Of course maybe if it was me or maybe somebody else we would have said sorry I cant turn down the extra money I need it. But this special lady thought deeply about the job she is doing now because it is working and trying to rehabilitate homeless people, She thought course I could do with the extra money but I have rewards that are far more important to me than money here.I have rewards like seeing homeless people a little less distressed and a bit more happy in their lot! This lady is not doing a job but following a vocation and I have the upmost respect for her because she is really a very special person and the people at the homeless shelter where she works have recognised that fact. I have just read her thread! Shirley, you obviously have a vocation and value the emotional rewards of your job far above the monetary ones. I wish there were more people that dedicated. The world would be a nicer place. Well done! Claire xx

Oh dear, i feel really embarrassed now. Thank you Dave and all who said such nice things about me. I am no saint though, i do a job that is there to be done as many of us do, and like you i sometimes think,What the hell am i doing here,( thats when someone wants to land me one) I am however extremely lucky, as in my job the rewards are great when you put a little bit of happiness back into someones life. thank you all.
