HELLO LINDA IN SALE.......... sorry thought she might be getting upset!!!!!! :-) Mandy Ive now resorted to clicking on something else on my bookmarked sites and then coming back on here .......... it seems to help for a while.......... then you have to do it again!

Oh grief I've just seen this, BC Please don't do it, you can't be serious. Don't leave us LOL The site has been playing up now for flipping ages. I think most people are having problems. I don't know whether I read one of these posts correctly but.... GR 'can't replicate' the problem. They can come round here anytime then they wont have to, they'll see it first hand. No, it's the site. I've been fed up with it for a while, although........ don't speak too loudly...............it has not been too bad today! It is slow, but it is not telling me it cannot find my pages! Deanna X

BC, Yum, yum! I gave up complaining to GR about this site ages ago. I've had a grand total of 3 replies (if memory serves) from them in the entire 11 months I've been a member, despite various complaints sent in. A girl could get a complex! I just wish they'd tell us on a daily basis that they're working on the site, instead of this blanket message they put out from time to time before the site goes on the wobble for a fortnight or more. I'd also appreciate their telling us what it is they're doing. Maybe that's asking too much, but 'don't ask, don't get'. I'll stick the kettle on when the Vicar arrives. ;>))) CB >|< X

CB....for a while I thought, with sinking heart, that it was my Mac which my son always dealt with and I havent a clue how to defrag, debag, or anything else. But now I know it is this site, and I think we should all complain, every day, until it gets back to satisfactory. I'm off now to bake you some scones with dates and raisons....XX BC

BC, Agreed. This site's been appalling for the past fortnight, in my experience. I've ended up with a family tree on here with countless errors in it, thanks to the site playing up when I was trying to work on it. Yesterday, David (hub) and I spent 6 hours copying the tree onto paper and trying to fit it all together, so I could actually see where the mistakes were. It took that long because the blessed lines don't match up when you move between screens. Having finally sorted it out and stuck it all together, I've now been able to see where it's wrong, but I don't fancy my chances of correcting it until the site's working properly again. Meanwhile, I'm getting more requests than ever from people asking to view my tree! Sod's law is alive and kicking in Herts! Please don't disappear, though. The more of us who complain, the more chance we stand of GR taking some notice - but if they don't, you're still nice to talk to. I am fed up with it being so slow too. As I am at work (on broadband) I will email GR tonight. Just a tip that has helped me though - if I click on one of the board headings or a thread and the progress bar at the bottom of the window seems to stick, I click on the STOP icon at the top then click on the heading or thread again and it seems to open quite quickly. Try it and let me know if it works for you. Lynne

As you know Buttercup from another thread I wrote to GR yesterday re these problems. They told me they had tried to recreate them but no joy. What operatingsystem and browser am I using?. After they received the mail things improved and do seem to be better somewhat. I think it must be GR for so many people to be having problems. Rupert.

Awwwwww...nooooooooooooo BC...i have to agree its been terrible of late, yesterday i tried and tried and when i eventually got a message on it had sent 2 !!! :)
