NOOOOO!!! Well it depends I suppose, but my other half was my manager for a brief time. He was particularly hard on me so as people wouldn't think he was favouring me. We didn't really row at home about work, but we did feel in each other's pockets all the time. I suppose it depends on the person, but I did not like it. That said, I know a couple who worked in the same company for years quite hapily. Good luck with your decision. Claire xx |

It might work for the couple themselves but not always a good thing for other colleagues. I used to work with a husband and wife team. He was her boss as well as my boss. She was awful to me but of course her husband always took her side...... |

I worked with my hubby for a while, it worked alright, but I don't think it's a good idea, you need your own space |

I have most of my life. I used to work in the personnel department when he was an engineer in a large factory. Can be difficult sometimes as everyone expected him to have insider info that he would pass on. Course never told him a thing. Now I am his secretary in our own business for past 15 years. I have to say this is a lot worse because we talk work 24/7. |

I met my hubby in work, he got promoted and ended up being my boss! Wasn't too bad but he did have to be harder on me as he was worried people would think i was getting special treatment... they all thought that anyway but it was never a problem as no-one ever dared to say anything anyway. (well, not to my face!lol.) x |

Hi Paul, my hubby and I work in the same place, but different sections. We make sure that we don't contact eachother unless absolutely necessary (hah! A vision has just come to mind, of Bob ducking behind a filing cabinet if he sees me walking up the office), and it works. There's one married couple who work within a few feet of eachother, although on different sections. Bob and I wouldn't want that; that's definitely too close lol. I'd say to Mrs Paul, go for it but just bear that, above, in mind. Glenys x |

Hi Paul Hubby and I doen't work together but he works from home and I am here most of the time. It's been 18 months now and it's not to bad being in each others pockets all the time. The real problem is he now knows I do the bare minimum of housework and spend all my time on the computer!! lol Tammy |
