The sound of relief . . . . . sons girlfriend Kate got through to him at 5am this morning, big walk home, but non the worse for wear. So sad to think of those families who's loved one couldn't walk home. Hubby's words today as he left for work, anyone who isn't effected at work today through lack of sleep last night shouldn't be working for him. Although we are many miles apart, the effect in Australia is as if it was our own back yard. - prayers, Laurie

Devasted at the news. I also have family in the UK and my heart goes out to all of you. Even though we are far apart it still puts an uneasiness everywhere and we in Australia (famous for our ability to 'knock' others) are really deep down a very caring and compassionate nation. I wish you all well and hope that we can continue to bring love, laughter and friendship to each other, that way the terrorists haven't won! Lynda Queensland Australia

We feel very deeply for you all here in Oz! I was in London this time two years ago. Fortunately my daughter who teaches school in Eastham, was having a week in Spain - she returns to London on Sat. with two weeks teaching to go. She would have been on the tube at Liverpool at that terrible moment. We are so very grateful. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Helen (in Oz)
