Hi Everyone I just wanted to share my good news with you. I have a 3 year old Grandson and eighteen months ago he was admitted to hospital. His symptoms were that he seemed to have lost all his nerve and muscle functions. After numerous tests they found out he had Guilliame Barre Syndrome. It is not a common illness and was told by Doctors maybe 1 in ever 10,000 people get it. It is not at all common in children and he was the youngest ever that this Doctor had ever treated. Anyway we were told it could take a long time for him to recover. My son and his wife have worked extremely hard with Physio etc. and the Doctors are amazed. He virtually had to learn to walk and sit up again. He was just like a rag doll. Well today he went for a checkup and they have finally cleared him. I am so happy, it has been a long road but thank God he is now a normal little boy again. He doesnt have to see the Doctor again for 12 months and that is only to make sure his speech and reflexes are normal. Through it all he has smiled and been happy and his Grandma is a happy lady today. Just wanted to share my Happy News with you all Wow thats the longest thread I have typed Regards Jackie
