Well I just write what I am feeling, its rare for me to plan what I am going to say but like Jen I don't know if there is only one of me, sometimes I am sure there are more. lol. I write what I want to say I try and be as honest as possible without being hurtful I do hate hurting people in real life or cyber space I wouldn't do it on purpose but obviously sometimes truth will hurt. I do not mention too much of my Private life here as I feel its private, its not because of the people who are involved on the boards but the non involved lookers in the ones I don't know, I'm cautious of. I like to think I am the same when people meet me as I am here except I am shy and awkward on first meeting people, but I have no hidden agendas, no complicated whatsits just simple old me!!!. Pat x

Hi Helen et al What you see is what you get, I reply to the 'lighter' threads and in real life I tend to shy away from deep and meaningful conversations. I don't say anything I don't mean and I hope that everyone else on this site is the same. Friar

I contribute to this Board in the same way as I would socially in 'real life'. I'll discuss serious topics or clown about and make silly jokes, as the mood takes me. If I think a discussion is getting too heavy, I might try and 'lighten' it a bit, but we're all individuals with our own ideas of acceptability, and sometimes being lighthearted is misjudged by poster, reader, or both. I've made some extremely close friends on GR and met many other members whose company I've enjoyed and would like to meet again. I don't judge people purely on what they say or what they look like but on how we react to one another. Just because other people don't like someone, that doesn't mean I don't like them. I make my own judgements on my own experience. As far as my personal life goes, there are are only two people in the world who really know me through and through - my husband and my son, neither of whom are GR members. I don't share my deepest thoughts and feelings with people on the Gen Board for two reasons - I don't think it's anybody else's business, and I don't think anybody would be interested if I did. I really am this annoying in true life! lol, and if anyone doesn't believe me they are welcome to pop in for a cuppa and a slice of cake! i am me, obviously you don't know my entire life as i can't be bothered typing it, but i have over many threads exposed my hardest times and shared the good ones. This is a place where i need no mask and i can talk freely without too much judgement. I am me!

It's quite difficult Helen isn't it? I like to think I'm very much myself on the boards and don't pretend to be anything I'm not but when I went to a meet a few people were surprised at me so maybe what I think and write is at odds with the way I come across in person:s I don't often get involved on threads when people are talking about very personal things and I wouldn't talk about anything very private to me - but then I wouldn't go on Trisha or anything like that and this is just as public lol. Like someone else said, I don't really plan what I say and just put what I want when I want to - so that's my true self but different people will take what I say different ways and view me differently :)

I am me crazy forgetful, a big softie do anyone a favour and as my hubby says feed the world, but i do keep some things private, Wendy.xx ps I am small lol

Hi All Like everyone else on here I only hold private details back and I do hold a lot back of what I say otherwise I would get barred from here with my very strong opinions. but otherwise I am myself. Thankyou all very much for your imput to this thread!! I feel quite close to all as your replies are open,honest and above all friendly!! I like to think i am the person i am on here, i have never lied or swayed from the truth, to anyone!! But some threads on here are to me a bit judgemental of others, i have always believed it's not my place to judge others, we have only the right to judge ourselves. I just wanted to know if any of you ever felt you were being judged by others who dont know you personally only by being on the boards!!
