Ann - thank you! It was scarey but at least we were all together....and Downstairs this time!!!! Diana thank you for all your concern...I couldn't reply to messages and did bump this up a few times and posted another thread to let you know I was OK....as I said, no damage this time, well not to us anyway!!! Hi everyone.....it's me.....I'm back, just got power 10.39pm Friday...Good for Grenada. No Damage this time.....but at least 10 houses in Mt.Moritz (where I live) have lost New roofs.....roofs that have been put on since Ivan.... Still no water but should be a couple of days...got water in the tank....Phone line didn't go this time. We were all safe in my downstairs apartment - my sister, the three welsh teenage lads, my husband, myself and 9 dogs and 1 cat.......very cosy!!!!! Thank God it was only cat. 2 - it caught parts of the Island that Ivan dealt kindly with but it also got Mt.Moritz which was one of the worst affected by Ivan. At least we are safe and no damage done....... couldn't afford to put another roof on in less than a year!!!!! Thanks all for your concern..... Jacquie xxxxx |

From Jamaican Observer Newspaper 'Having earlier tormented Grenada and slightly bruising other islands in the Eastern Caribbean's Windward chain, Emily was at seven o'clock last night moving on a path that suggests it will sometime tomorrow sideswipe Jamaica the island's southern coast, much in the fashion of Ivan nine months ago' So it seems Emily has left Grenada and is on its way through the Caribbean to Jamaica so hopefully Jacq will be out of hiding in the next few hours. When you surface and hopefully see this I hope everything is OK with you Jacq and family and there hasn't been damage to your home. Love Pat x |

Jacq (Oleander) packed her pooter and other goods up in front of Hurricane. Heard from her prior to and have sent message to her soince it should have struck. Do not expect to hear anything for few hours. Anything I hear will post. Rupert |
