Daniel - ask your Cook if she remembers the cafe in the old Birkenhead market - made gorgeous hotpot - can recall stuffing my face with it about 9.00 a.m. one morning as I could not resist the aroma! |

As far as I know the cafe is still there. It's the same one as long as I can remember but now there's a new one in there too. Always looks like dirty grotty place but the chips are nice. |

Last time I was in the old market about 1977 and the cafe sat slap in the middle. Visited the new market mid 80's - was desperate for hotpot and searched - there was a grotty cafe on the side but NO hotpot - good chips tho. Ann |
