Know what you mean about the Grockles Len...I lived on the seafront when I was a child and it was always a pain in the bum in summer! Trouble is it was a pain in the winter too - flood boards and sandbags! Prefer living within easy reach of sea rather than on the seafront. Kaye x

See it nearly every day, not very stress relieving have to fight through the grockles to get to the water. Also not stress relieving when your in the middle of the ocean the other side of the world from your family. Please say a big aaaaaahhhhh for all the sailors away from home. aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Len

Hi Last time we saw the sea was last year. We were in Devon staying at a harbour when all the storms/floods were there. Not sure about it being a stress reliever but it was quite exciting!! Penny

When I was in Cornwall a couple of weeks ago. Lovely when its calm, but in the winter when it can become rough and raging my stresses would definitely not be busted! Dee x

Three weeks ago on a day trip to Mount Edgcumbe, Cornwall. The only thing I miss about living in Plymouth is walking by the sea every day, especially in winter. I love it when the waves crash on the rocks & I can feel the spray. Burnham on Sea just isn't the same!!! Vivienne

Right now, from my office window, I can see all of the St Ives bay, also the Hayle Towans!

I live near the sea (not in eye shot though) so only a couple of days ago. Yes, it definitely helps to relieve stress - when I lived in Somerset I used to go for long walks along the sea front, especially when it was windy - used to blow the cobwebs away and lift my spirits. K x

Lyn *in Gorleston* Report 19 Jul 2005 10:41

Everyday, as i live 2 mins aways from it as i live in Gorleston in Norfolk, yes i would agree it can be very calming but it all depends if you go there alone, if you go with the kids then no cos you are always on your guard so you can`t relax. Lyn.
