Have you noticed your shopping is costing a lot more than it used to? I seem to be spending at least an extra £20 a week and I'm sure I'm not getting anything different. Jeanette x

We often shop at Morrisons for convenience as it's the nearest supermarket... however we're not that keen, preferred it when it was Safeway. We prefer Tescos really, and have started going there again the last few weeks. That said, I do think it's cheaper than Tescos.

We have had Safeways (shopped there for 15 years!) taken over my Morrisons (rubbish) and now taken over by Somerfield, which seems to be quite good....Much prefer to shop at M & S though!

Morning Dawn and Paul! I've shopped at Morrisons for quite a few years now and it seems the prices have gone up since they took over the Safeways stores. My nearest supermarket is Sainsbury but I find that expensive too. Our Tesco is about 10 miles away too but it's a right pain in the butt to get to! Think I might have to give Asda a go

I've only used Morrison's a few times and have to agree with everything Dawn has said. Sainsbury is becoming overpriced, ditto Tesco. Asda is probably best value but gets a bit samey. To be honest I think they've all gone downhill and none of them are as good as they used to be. I love M&S food but can't afford it on a regular basis though, lol.

I do most of my shopping at Morrisons. Only seven minutes walk away. But I must admit, their Fruit and Vegetables are not very good. Potatoes, Carrots Lettuce and Tomatoes only seem to last two days before going rotton. I alway found safeway very dear compared to Morrisons. Jenny.

They're building a huge Asda here at the moment, will be open in November... think we'll give that a whirl.

The problem I have with Asda is the George department! lol. I can't resist having a look as you can get some really good bargains. So in the long run would I save money, or just blow it on clothes! lol

We shop at Sainsbury's one weeek and Morrisons the next. Morrisons for cheaper offers and sainsbury's for stuff we can't get at Morrisons. Both shops never have the shelves fully stocked but sainsbury's is the worst. Also occasionally shop at tescos but find it too chaotic, always loads of big families all shouting at their children due tot he area it is in. I went with my daughter to tescos near the M3 at winchester and was quite impressed so i guess the stores vary according tot he managers. Shopped in Morrisons in Bridport and the staff wee most unfriendly. Ours in tewkesbury are fine. sainsbury's staff in Gloucester are always very pleasant. I like M&S but it is not convenient for a big shop and very expensive. Ann Glos

I do my main shop at Morrisons - and quite like it -our Asda is too small to be of any use - our safeways was too expensive - Tesco's is okay but not first choice although nearer. wish i could afford to shop at Waitrose..... or M&S occasionally ( for some yummmy treats) although i do not belive those who say they do ALL their grocery shopping at M&S - they can't have a very varied diet as the food deptartments are never THAT big. And anyone that can afford to buy Loo rolls at M&S........ jess

Hi All Well I always do my main shop at Asds as hubby prefers it. Do go to Tesco every now and then, though mainly for browsing. Use our new Morrisons for fresh pizza once in a while but thats all - it is an awful place to shop in and the fruit and veg quality is the worst ive ever seen. The staff there are not allowed to talk to each other during their shifts and a friend had a nervous breakdown due to the work pressure put on her, and had to leave (and she isnt the meek n mild type either). I lived in Rugby Warwickshire for a while and used to shop at the Morrisons near Coventry outskirts - the best supermarket ive ever shopped in, so it was a big letdown when I moved home and this new one opened and turned out to be crap. Will stick with Asda me thinks ;-P Vikki xx

Have used Morrisons occasionally, but, we have an Asda Walmart close by which is good, also Sainsburys and Tesco Extra so am spoilt for choice. However I do a 2 month shop on line with Tesco for all the large items such as Bottled Water, Juice, Toliet rolls etc and have it delivered it saves me humping heavy items. I also hate standing in supermarket queues so it suits me and only costs 3.99. Liz

I don't have a Morrisons near me but my daughter does and she says it's brilliant. I shop online at Tesco, saves me trundling loads of bags home. I also pop into the one near work at least 3 times a week for bits and pieces (always end up buying much more than I went in for!). I also use Sainsburys sometimes but only when my husband is with me as he prefers it. Lynne

I normally do my shopping at Morrisons, and i agree with you all, the qualtiy of the fruit and veg is terrible, the bananas go black in about 3 days , and the carrots go mouldy in the same space of time....but its close by and convient...I did my last big shop on line for the first time 3 weeks ago with Asda, very impressed, i quite like that store, but the George area makes you spend more, and sainsburys which is even closer I use as a corner shop, on the way to work for papers etc, i think they are expensive and the shelves are always hlf empy ...Tescos is too far away in Durham ..... I really like Iceland and try to go there for frozen stuff etc... :D

We dont have a Morrisons close enough, but if Im on the way back from Edinburgh,we will go to Morrisons.Usually go to Tesco as its only over the road.Occasionally shop at Asda which is about a 10 min drive.I find Morrisons to be the cheapest, followed by Asda, but the fruit and veg in Asda doesnt last very long. Sometimes do the weeks shopping at M & S as theres a huge Simply Food one not too far away.We can get a whole weeks shopping there, and the variety is as good as Tescos. Its very expensive but the quality is far superior than any of the others.Dont go there too often though lol Anna :-)
