Daisy, Take it from me - you need have no fears! You've no reason to lack confidence - as you told me recently, 'Just be yourself'! CB >|< X

David I learnt a long time ago to take a deep breath before walking into a room full of people, although my incessant nattering once in the room is probably a good indication of my lack of confidence! There's so much I want to achieve and I'm taking the view that it's never too late, so I'm searching for the positives rather than the negatives and hoping confidence comes from that. Daisy

Was tempted to lie and say I lack confidence... but I don't! I'm going to say a man like Karen... hate to say it as I've always told myself that I do not need a man to make my life complete... Please apply within... becx

David, I suppose it's something I've worked on and in certain situations I don't notice it, other times I'm painfully aware of it.

Bow, like you I would choose a bit of time for me, it seems as soon as we get any time off from work, we have the grandchildren, sometimes you just need a bit of quality time together.

Fifth red-hot redhead reporting for duty!!!!! (no hair, just a red head - the old ones are the best - lol) My life at present is lacking enough time and ability to deal with not only my own problems, but everyone elses (or so it seems). Why do I feel guilty that I cannot instantly solve the problems of friends and family????? I suppose an endless stream of money at my disposal to dole out would help but I havent got it to give, and I try to give freely of my time to those who need it, but there just aint enuf of that either - so, it's hey ho, off to work we go - again!. Dee, That is so sad. I have been very lucky with my friends, very few have let me down. Sadly my dearest friend is no longer here but I'm so grateful for the years we had. Gwynne

Hi David What does my life lack most? To sum it up in one sentence: - People I can trust Dee x

Unknown

Unknown Report 22 Jul 2005 08:11

David, I'm the opposite - I've always had a direction in life but been prevented from following it due to circumstances beyond my control. I learned to accept, many years back, during my forties, that I have to tailor my expectations to what life chucks at me. However, peace and quiet is something my life has always lacked and which I now crave. I'd like the opportunity to be able to sit and read or write or study or watch TV or listen to a symphony without some interruption from other people - whether my family asking or telling me something, the phone ringing, someone ringing the doorbell, neighbours suddenly using a noisy machinery or playing loud music or shouting at one another, neighbours' children shouting and screaming, a car going by with a music system at full volume, a helicopter hovering overhead, or some loudmouth yelling into a mobile phone whilst walking by. I'd love to be able to live somewhere where most of these things couldn't be heard. Maybe one day. CB >|<
