When I first saw my first love across a crowded room. The first time I held my sons after they were born. When I said goodbye for the last time to my dad. nell |

New Years Eve 1995, Richard & I took over the Sun Inn at Watley Somerset in the October & we were missing our four best friends who we would usually be with in West London. At 11:30pm the door to the pub opened & in they walked. Half way through dinner they had decided they missed us too so dropped everything & drove for two & a half hours to spend a couple of hours with us before driving back as one of them had to be at work at 9am. If I could have more than a few days it would be the 7mths we spent as holding managers at The Sun. Vivienne |

Hi David, Difficult to choose.......... there are so many times I would like to relive.............. but I would love another child's Christmas in Wales (to quote Dylan Thomas). I'd begin with the anticipation on the train journey accompanied by mysterious packages and Pops meeting us at the station to help us up the hill with the luggage. My Nain would be waiting on the step to wrap her arms around me and lead me into the front parlour to see the tree and the lights. I'd open my stocking on Christmas morning then we'd go to chapel. I can still hear the Welsh bass voices echoing around as we sang the carols. Then back up the hill and into the front parlour to open the 'proper' presents, one at a time with the smell of the roasting turkey filling the house. After dinner my uncles and aunts would arrive and we'd go for a walk down to the beach in our new Christmas jumpers. Then back home to sing carols around the piano and play party games. I'd fall asleep at some point and Pops would carry me up to bed. Boxing Day morning Dad would take me down to the beach again and here on the prom I learned to roller skate, ride a two wheeler bike or scoot a scooter. Never in my life have I felt as safe and as loved as I did in that house in the times before I knew the world could be an unkind place. And that some day I would have to grow up Gwynne |

I too had a fantastic childhood, i was surely blessed with a wondreful family. BUT the 60s was the most wonderful craziest time of my life, don't remember a night when i wasn't out raving. I tell you my kids would be shocked.lol Shirley Ann. |

You are right about the 60's Shirley boy if our kids knew about then when I think I did the most stupidest (spl?) things. I would have slaughtered my daughter if she had behaved like that. LOL!!!! Germaine x |
