Further to my recent thread about my not being around much at the moment, I’d like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has sent good wishes, especially those who have also taken the trouble to contact me privately. Mum had her operation yesterday and as she was being wheeled down to theatre, the consultant rushed up to tell her that her CT scan was clear (yippee!), so that she went down feeling very relieved! I saw her last night and she was obviously very sleepy, but the op went well. I will know more when I go in this afternoon, as there was a possibility of her needing chemo or radiotherapy. I still won’t be around quite so much over the next few weeks as at her age, recovery is going to be quite slow, but hopefully I’ll be able to pop in to GR from time to time for a quick update. Thank you all again, you are lovely people! Mandy :) xx |

Thank you for your good wishes. I went in to see Mum this afternoon and couldn't believe that she was already sat out in a chair! Thank God for the doctor who acted so quickly. Things would have been very different otherwise. Love Mandy :) xx |
