Hope you are ok Bec. My daughter is having one of her wisdom teeth out next week because it has caused her similar problems to yours. Good luck, Maggy |

I'm still here, appointment is at 5. Have actually managed to open my mouth enough to have a look and the gum at the back has swollen to the size of a mint imperial! Thanks for all your advice and best wishes :-) love becx |

Heard from Bec a few minutes ago - she's been to the dentists, he's given her two lots of antibiotics and she has an appointment to go back next week to see if she needs it removing. |

Poor you Bec. I used to rub my gums as the pain was slightly reduced by doing it. Hope you're better soon and meanwhile enjoy the choccie mousse. Daisy |

Glad you're getting some sensible treatment Bec. I went to my (new) dentist a few weeks ago here in the USA. After spending a few minutes insulting British dentistry, he outlined a list of 'necessary' treatment which would cost me several thousands of dollars, including taking out my wisdom teeth 'because they're still there'! I'm in my 50's and apart from a little discomfort when they came through, they have never given me a moment's bother. Where's Paul's screaming thread??!! :-) |

I'm feeling ok you lovely people! Antibiotics haven't done much and as the Dentist just suggested gargling with salt water I've been a bit naughty... and had a bit of Whiskey... Shouldn't have but the pain has gone for the timebeing so I'll be able to sleep tonight :-) love becx |
