Thank you, Nicky, Bec and everyone else who has appeared offering help - you'll be pleased to know it's worked. Headache's gone, and so have the Gas company drillers. Just been out to post some letters, and there was just one guy shoving a huge plastic tube into the hole they've dug. No doubt they'll all be back tomorrow for another session. CB >|<

Grantchester meadows Lyrics Artist(Band):Pink Floyd 'Icy wind of night be gone this is not your domain' In the sky a bird was heard to cry. Misty morning whisperings and gentle stirring sounds Belie the deathly silence that lay all around. Hear the lark harken to the barking of the dark fox Gone to ground. See the splashing of the kingfisher flashing to the water. And a river of green is sliding unseen beneath the trees Laughing as it passes through the endless summer Making for the sea. In the lazy water meadow I lay me down. All around me golden sun flakes settle on the ground. Basking in the sunshine of a bygone afternoon Bringing sounds of yesterday into this city room. Hear the lark harken to the barking of the dark fox Gone to ground. See the splashing of the kingfisher flashing to the water. And a river of green is sliding unseen beneath the trees. In the lazy water meadow I lay me down. All around me golden sun flakes covering the ground. Basking in the sunshine of a bygone afternoon Bringing sounds of yesterday into this city room. Hear the lark harken to the barking of the dark fox Gone to ground. See the splashing of the kingfisher flashing to the water. And a river of green is sliding unseen beneath the trees.

Oh, I do like that! Thanks, Gwynne. BC's harp was lovely too. Thank you both. The drillers have moved further along the road now, so the noise is not so bad. Amazing what a good butler can achieve. CB ><| XX

Kashmir - Led Zep (bonham/jones/page/plant) Oh let the sun beat down upon my face, stars to fill my dream I am a traveler of both time and space, to be where I have been To sit with elders of the gentle race, this world has seldom seen They talk of days for which they sit and wait and all will be revealed Talk and song from tongues of lilting grace, whose sounds caress my ear But not a word I heard could I relate, the story was quite clear Oh, oh. Oh, I been flying... mama, there ain’t no denyin’ I’ve been flying, ain’t no denyin’, no denyin’ All I see turns to brown, as the sun burns the ground And my eyes fill with sand, as I scan this wasted land Trying to find, trying to find where I’ve been. Oh, pilot of the storm who leaves no trace, like thoughts inside a dream Heed the path that led me to that place, yellow desert stream My shangri-la beneath the summer moon, I will return again Sure as the dust that floats high and true, when movin’ through kashmir. Oh, father of the four winds, fill my sails, across the sea of years With no provision but an open face, along the straits of fear Ohh. When I’m on, when I’m on my way, yeah When I see, when I see the way, you stay-yeah Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, when I’m down... Ooh, yeah-yeah, ooh, yeah-yeah, well I’m down, so down Ooh, my baby, oooh, my baby, let me take you there Let me take you there. let me take you there

Aaaaah! Beautiful, Gwynne, just beautiful. Now, if you could just move this cushion a little further to the left, so that my neck isn't stretched, I'd appreciate it, before your next rendition. CB >|< Where the hell is that wretched butler?

Excellent idea CeeBeebies, Watching and Waiting - lyrics by the divine Justin Watching and waiting For a friend to play with Why have I been alone so long Mole he is burrowing his way to the sunlight He knows there’s some there so strong ’cos here there’s lot of room for doing The things you’ve always been denied Look and gather all you want to There’s no one here to stop you trying Soon you will see me ’cos I’ll be all around you But where I come from I can’t tell But don’t be alarmed by my fields and my forests They’re here for only you to share ’cos here there’s lot of room for doing The things you’ve always been denied So look and gather all you want to There’s no one here to stop you trying Watching and waiting For someone to understand me I hope it won’t be very long

Well, thank you, Rupert - most kind. I shall say nowt. BC - How appropriate! I'm always harping on about something or other. I didn't realise you were harpist (or something similar-sounding). Harps are very soothing - except when strung around Gwynne's neck! Gwynne - How about you singing the Moodies' 'Watching and Waiting', while BC accompanies you on the harp? P S A bit of Led Zep's 'Kashmir' or The Floyd's 'Grantchester Meadows' wouldn't go amiss either. CB >|< - feeling better already. Now, where's that butler?

CB. What about a little Ozzie TLC. Maybe i could arrange a nice warm milk bath...sprinkled with rose petals, while listening to your favourite music. Followed by a soothing foot massage, with oil essence of Lavender. Or perhaps a nice neck massage, while nibbling on your favourite box of chocolates. But first....... .....can ya grab me a cold Tinnie outa the fridge mate, and put the Tele on the footy show for me, coz I'm flat out like a lizard drinking. Ta. Tony Oz x :>))

**outraged pacing** DRILLING? Without gaining your approval? I think you should send some of your staff out to remonstrate, do these people have no idea who they are disturbing? I shall be writing to their managers immediately, meanwhile have some painkillers and the snack of your choice. (fawn, fawn) :-p
