I own a mobile phone but it is only switched on when I make a call [or am expecting one] which I definitely would not do when driving. So I am not one of the four

Does anyone on here know ANYONE that has got a ticket for this in the UK?. I suspect the police are failing to do their job. Bob

I agree Bob! Perhaps 'name and shame' (car reg nos. in local newspapers) would work? What is it about human nature that makes folk think that laws only apply to other people? When we are tempted to use our mobiles, for instance, BEFORE the plane has come to a stop at an airport... Lily

I was following behind a lady late one evening that I thought was drunk or Ill. I backed off, she got slower as she weaved around road then eventually partly pulled over and stopped. I checked as slowly went passed and she was on the phone , chatting and smiling away!! We'd driven about 3/4 of a mile already. Sue Well theres another of the four.

Driving around the city in Glos I see plenty of people using their mobiles whilst driving. I saw one woman trying to negotiate a roundabout, chatting on her mobile - and checking her make-up at the same time!

I agree the police are not doing a very good job as i know of at least FOUR people who have been pulled over for using mobiles while drivng and ALL were let off with a warning and ALL are still doing it!! Nicky.x
