My family seems to be doomed as far as sad events on their birthdays. I was born on September 11th (Twin towers disaster) , hubby and daughter share January 27th ( Holocaust Remembrance Day), Youngest daughter July 7th ( London bombing). Do you share your birthday with a sad event? Louise |

My birthday is 30th August - Princess Diana died the night of August 30th (early hours of August 31st) - that particular year it did put a bit of a damper on my celebrations. K x |

My birthday 21 July was the date of the unsuccessful bomb attempts on London. I am very glad that they were unsuccessful. I see that the extradition hearing for the suspect in Italy is on my wedding anniversary 17 August. My father in law's birthday was 31 August and I remember he was very sad the year Princess Diana died. nell |

I do now, my birthday is 17 february and sadly the lady who ran our slimming world club died suddenly on this day, had known her for many years and was a good friend who will be greatly missed. Nicky.x |

On my 15th birthday is when princess diana died (31st August) My parents didnt believe me when i rushed up stairs to tell them. They said she couldnt be dead she was a princess!! Strange though my mum told me someone important would die on my 15th birthday. Princess Diana couldnt be more important could she. xx |

My 16th birthday, 30 January 1965, was the day of Winston Churchill's funeral. Charles 1 died 300 years before I was born on 30 January 1649 - I don't remember that though! Sue xx |
