This is a stark reminder to everyone who chats to people they 'meet' on here to be careful.....very careful..... All I did was help her with her crossword a couple of times...and then (sob)...I made the fateful mistake on msn of admiring a photo of her children and asking if I could be their honorary Granny....and what happens? (sobs uncontrollably).....She's dumping them here for the whole of the summer holidays while she's off cavorting...WITH MY SON!! It's a cruel cruel world!

Ello Jill.Im home now lol Well ive met u and Sue obviously up here lol. Ive met a few people at the geordie meetup,Jenny,Ann Lazenby,Andy,Diana and Sheila to name a few.They were all lovely. I hope that every one I meet whos going on the Sahara Trek will become friends as i guess we will need,or depend on each other when we are out there lol and i hope they dont all think im a nutter lmao Anna :-) ps have a good holiday luv!!

also have a very good friend that I met through another site a few years ago - her and her husband are havin a baby in a few weeks, no doubt Sharon and I will be visiting...

On the whole everyone that I've met from here has been really nice. I don't necessarily think you need to have actually met to be good friends though - I'm good friends with a few people on here that I haven't actually met yet, but I know they're there for me if I need them and vice versa (although Sheila, if you need me for anything be advised taht it's about a 5hr drive lol).

I have a particular friend I met through GR. A mutual msn buddy told each of us individually that we ought to meet and that we would get on. We did - she was right and we do. She is more than a friend, she is my soul mate. You could wait a lifetime and never have such a friendship. We would definitely never have met had it not been for GR. Mags xxx

I have met quite a few now thru Scottish meets and arranging to meet folk on my own accord....and can honestly say thank you to GR for Sue, Jojo and Anna....unfortunately Jo lives too far away to see her on a regular basis but when me anna and sue party we get jo joining in online!!! couldnt ask for better 'real life' friends!!

I have made one very good friend through GR, although we haven't had the oportunity to meet yet. I was surprised that I could strike up such a good friendship over the internet, but I really have. Kaye x
