congrats, I'm not at the granny stage yet. Old enough but can't get me only child (daughter) to get out and find herself a man (she's 27) Just had a bad break up several months ago and thinks men suck right now. Going to be a great aunt though in a few months. Love baby's so have fun with grannyhood |

That sound so great, spending time with your first grandchild. Does your daughter live far away. I know with my daughter there's lots of time, I'd rather she was happy with her mate rather than with someone just for the sake of having a relationship. Keep telling her it's her time now to find out who she really is and that she is worth respect etc. |

Congratulations Jacquie, you must be over the moon. How lovely to have that picture to keep peeking at, makes it seem real eh? Think I will have to wait a while, my son is 23 and at the moment with a girl who already has a nearly 5 year old son (not his). Joe is starting fulltime school next month so girl wants to start working - hope if they stay together they won't make me wait too long. They have been together 2 1/2 years now. |

I remember vividly going in for my first scan with husband and we didn't know what to expect. It was staggering to see our BABY on a tv screen, sucking his thumb and kicking his feet. I think the enormity of parenthood began to sink in then. I know we were both so overwhelmed we were unable to speak and my legs wobbled like mad as we walked back to the car. That baby is now 13 and doesn't suck his thumb. nell |
