Well this is week 9 and tonight i had to get up in front of 25 people and do psychometry. i had to analyse a handkerchief and I was petrified but I did allright. In two weeks time they are going to sort us out into two groups - those who will concentrate on developing psychic skills and those developing mediumship skills.

I think it's great that you are doing this Louise. You have inspired me to look for a Reiki class to join - I've been umming and arring for ages about doing something along those lines, but since chatting to you I have decided on Reiki. Thanks for your help with Storm - do you think you can do anything for his clumsiness though, he banged his head on the cupboard door again tonight! lol I've never know such a clumsy dog. Kaye x

Did you pay for your course Louise ? (OK I know you did cos ive now read the thread lol) Do you know many spiritulist churches have (FREE) open circles where a medium helps your development. (I used to belong to one before kids) I would ask. Elaine x

I liked doing psycometry, but all I seemed to pick up was peoples aches and pains lol ! I still do it, I may be in the spiritulist church and feel fine but within a short while, I may have a headache or pain in my big toe (LOL). It normally belongs to someone else (the pain not the toe) and once We realise that the pain dissappears ! I too concentrated on healing. But have been told I have seen spirit.. (EEK ! ) and whilst in circle during meditation, I felt fingers on my neck moving (Felt like pressure) The medium later gave me a mesage that my spirit guide was sorry but he'd come in too close ! (I had not told the medium what I had felt) Just to add, when you send out your healing thoughts to someone, (absent healing)... imagine them fit and well, not in the poorly state they may be currently in. This is sending positive healing thoughts. Elaine x

Hi Elaine Its just £2 a week just to cover their costs for printing materials, handouts etc. Its run by a married couple at the spiritualist church in Ryde who are well known on the Isle of Wight circuit. I am learning at the moment how not to take on other people's aches and pains when doing the healing. I've got to give them back when I've finished lol. Mind you I don't find this a problem. I know a meditation now to sort of shrug off people's auras. The psychometry was good. I am also quite good at analysing people's abstract drawings. We've also done dowsing, aura sensing, pendulum swinging but the worse part is when they get you up to see if you can get a message lol. They haven't asked me yet. I am sure I will just freeze when they do. I just get the itching head and shoulders at the moment. Its a fascinating hobby though. louise xx

Last night we split up into two groups. One was to concentrate on developing psychic skills and the other group to concentrate on developing mediumship skills. I merrily sat down and realised with absolute horror they had put me in the medium group. I looked at everyone and realised they were all getting messages from spirit already except me who had never had anything! Anyway we had a really deep meditation before so I was well chilled out and he got me up and I got a message! I was so pleased with myself and everyone was really nice and encouraging the lady who it was for could take all of it. I didn't see spirit or hear anything or smell anything or feel anything. It was just a continuation of what we were doing in the psyhic links with each other. I was getting images and words were popping into my head and I was feeling driven to say things. I was building up a story in my head which was akin to the Oliver Twist story. I felt drawn to a woman with auburn hair and I felt the need to mention the clergy and then mentioned Middlesex. Well this woman couldn't take it but another one could who had previously got a message. Anyway then I had a vision of a horse and cart and then Nancy in Oliver Twist. Then I saw an image very faintly of a tall slim woman with auburn hair. I felt the woman had been in an abusive relationship like Nancy and then I felt the urge to say she had run away and the nuns had looked after her. The woman said that was spot on. Then I had to say what the message was and it just came into my head that the woman in spirit was proud of the lady in the group and glad that her life wasn't like hers. I am absolutely gobsmacked and am sort of excited but dreading next week. So I suppose I am an official trainee medium now lol.

Hi Louise, How wonderful. As I think I said before I am very interested in all this, but what you describe is what I would worry about. I suppose once you have 'trained' you are more understanding of it. and I suppose you will then come to a point of being able to tune in when you want and not have spirits all the time 'talking' to you.
