Charles the 1st owned a black cat that he thought brought him luck, he was so afraid of losing it he had it gaurded night and day,as it happened the day after the cat died, he was arrested. in Japan there is a myth that cats turn into super spirits when they die, according to the buddhist religion, the body of the cat is a temporary resting place for very spiritual people. some people believe that cats engage in astrl travel even in life, they also believe that if a cat adopts you, it will stay with you forever, even after death.

Roxanne :-) I love Cats always have always will. They are so intelligent, all the cats I have owned have been brilliant they give love when they receive love. There was a good reason why the Eygptians held them as Gods and for the Japanese beliefs too. All over the World Cats are held in very high regard as a superior to many Animals, I believe they are too. Thanks for that its an interesting subject Pat x

Another quote on the beasts by Winston Churchill. 'Dogs look up to you, cats look down on you, but pigs treat you as equals' I feed my cat from a variety pack and if he doesn't like the brand of the day, what a filthy look I get. :0) Keith

Roxanne, as some people on here will remember, we had a cat called Ninja who sadly had to be put down, as there was no cure for her, we did try and we were with her at the moment of eternal sleep, but she has not gone from us, she just shares our other cat's body, Charlie is some times him self other times he is definatly Nija, with her weird antics, so now we have 2 for the price of one. :) Bev
