Hi Jess, I don't like the pms asking A/S/L. That's what made me say it's more like a dating site. I've been a member for a few months and it seems to happen whenever I stay logged in more than an hour or so. Gwynne

can someone talk me through finding somewhere where there are names i'll know, a thread that some of you have been on? there is a FR thread . Can we start a GR Thread of our own or something, just a place for those that dare to 'cross over' even if we just say 'HI' before we plod of into the unknown depths?

I think it would be a good idea for people to go in and 'have a go, not just look, (I've looked...!) , When the GR gen board does go ( Ooopss sorry to raise that again) the transition wont seem so difficult then. I smell everyones autistic streak coming out ( and i dont mean that in a derogatory way - worked with autistic childen for years ) None of us are comfortable with 'Change' are we? Haven't decided if it better or worse there yet - when i joined here it didnt seem an especially friendly place to be, and yet time has changed my opinion. What Connections hasn't had yet is 'time' Jess x * perhaps we SHOULD make an effort - dedicate a time when everyone around that wants to pops over there and DOES do whatever goes on there - To and fro between the sites until people are comfortable. At least then they would be folks that we 'know'

That's exactly my thinking on it David. LOL. I cannot understand why it seems so much colder when I am in there, I know that sounds weird but it does, its a very strange feeling, even seeing names I recognised didn't help make me feel any warmth. Pat x

Hi Pat I think you could happily use both sites. I often enjoy pointless or even bizarre general chatting and because of the layout it would be much easier on there than on the general topics or on GR chat but it wouldn't work so well for debates, quizzes etc. David

Hi David, I signed up ages ago too, I never really bothered with the site. I think it's more a case of getting used to it, I also think some people who are on this board may prefer that site in the long run. Oh I've put a pic up but I nicked it from somewhere else cos I liked it lol. Pat x
