Sue, The members suggest a book they think would be a good read by a given date, then on a date about a week later they vote on all the suggestions. One or two books that come out top in the vote are the books for that month/two months. a date is given for the review. A separate thread is posted for the review. Post review the idea is that there should be a discussion about the whys and wherefore but, so far that has not really happened. That is a rough idea. i will sort it out more fully and put it on a separate thread when we have a few more people. if we don't have enough people the club dies because not everyone is able to review every month. I am also open to suggestions, don't want this to be autocratic. Ann Glos

Just checked back to the beginning and there were several people who suggested books and voted but who never ever did a review. i wonder if a month is too short a timescale for some people, maybe we should have two choices, one for a one month review and the other for a two month review, so that in the second and subsequent months for those who want to there would be two to read and review. Does that make sense? Ann Glos

I'm interested, I've never read the threads before, although have been aware of them. What is really involved? Suex

Louise, it can be either, especially if we have two choices in a month Ann glos

are they all fiction books Ann? I prefer non-fiction books myself - self help books and that sort of thing.

I seem to remember a couple of others did express an interest Ann - but I think it was on one of the 'missing' threads. Maybe a few more will pop up this evening. Maz. XX
