I don't know if this helps Street: A public way with buildings on one or both sides in a city town or village....... Road: A strip of land set apart for passage , public or private, especially for vehicles, the track over which conveyances of any kind, persons and animals pass from place to place; a highway. Mews. A stable or set of stables in London where the Royal horses were kept; so called because built on the site formerley occupied by the 'mews' or cages of the royal hawks. Hence any city stable, or a courtyard around which stables are located. Hope that helps Bryan. David |

Bryan I always thought a Mews House was one that was in a courtyard over a stable, or a modern one over a garage. The previous answer was from a dictionary. David |
