None of you are as gutted as me. I can't get in to ancestry at all. Perhaps it's a phased update of the website either that or NTL Luton have decided I don't deserve to access it!

Jean lol Works fine for me, just tried it. I had two successes on the 1851, on my dads mothers line, and on my mums dads line. got me back 1 more generation on both sides.

Well, I dunno, it must be me. 1871 to 1901 the search box comes up but on 1861 all I get is a list of Counties to choose from. No need to rub it in Paul just because you found a rellie in 1851. Was so desperate to find gg grandad's brothers. Never mind they're not going anywhere. Trouble is at my age I never know whether I am. lol Jean x.

I was in the 1861 a few minutes ago Jean and it was fine. so is the 1891, which is where I am at the moment, following up a line I found on the 1851 on Sunday :)

Thanks Jan, but what I want is a search box for the 1861. I think I'll go bed and start again in the morning.

I haven't, but the way the families round here are all interrelated, I wouldn't be surprised if they were all related anyway lol

Deb, thats how I've been using it, yes, BUT tonight if you put a search in, it takes you to the 1861 and not the 1851. Paul

Hi Paul, If I go into Ancestry UK there is no option for the 1851, but it I go into - www*1851-census*co*uk, it is there. Can you access it through the Ancestry site as a rule? Deb
