I have to go tommorow and help dad sort out his home -I was there on Saturday and I know that , despite his 'not having a lot in terms of posessions' it is going to be hard. He was the sort that was glad of what he had, in his bedroom there is the wardrobe that i had as a child, and i stood for ages on saturday fingering the knob on the door - doesn't that sound daft? To hurl it onto a skip- which is all it is worth - is going to be very difficult. We sorted some stuff out on saturday but that seemed unkind at the time, as it seemed that we were expecting him to die - we were -, but even so, i couldn't just throw things that meant something to him at that stage 'just in case' I shall keep the photo of the three of us as children that stood on the mantlepiece. How many years had that been there? lol Jess x
