babs, Sorry, I did get your PM but was inundated at work today and didn't have time to respond to this. If you're still having problems, PM me again explaining exactly what you're trying to do and why it doesn't work (ie the error message you get) and I'll try and help. I expect you have been told this but haven't read all posts.... Go to create Mail.... on tool bar.... Insert.... and that brings up file attachment... Jacquie xxxxx

It's not a power point one is it? Or one for which you need adobe. Normally the associations message 'thingy' means that you don't have the correct program to run it.. it is animated isn't it? Ann glos

Ohh Dear Sal ;; Im trying to do the tea and running back and forward doing this;; did that last one by sroring in my pictures then going into progrann / pictures send to mail rec ;; well its back over to the boards !!! Wont be back till 9-00 if any one else has any suggestions as to how poor Sally can get this e-mail;;;; HELPPPpppppppppp please

hi Sally Babs, have you tried the copy and paste method? On the attachment, highlight all you want to send to sally, in edit on tool bar click copy. Open a new e mail box to send to sally put address in etc. In message space click cursor, in edit box again xlick paste. Ann Glos

Babs managed to send the email to me with attachment but I cannot open it either lol xxhugxx

Hi Babs!! Have you tried saving the attachment in 'MY DOCUMENTS' & then on the email page, click on attachment (paperclip) then open MY DOCS find your attachment, attach, the send it all? :0) Joan xx

Sorry I misunderstood you, i thought youw anted to send an attachment with new e mail. if you just want to send an e mail with a attachment that you have received just forward the whole lot. failing that, copy and paste the attachment onto the new e mail. ann Glos

Babs, try this.. In outlook, go to Tools at the top Click on Options and a box should open up Click on the Security tab Under Virus Protection, take the tick out of the the box next to 'So not allow attachments to be opened' Click Apply and Ok then try to forward it again. If this works, go back and put the tick back in the box, so you are protected again once you've sent on your email.

I use outlook express all the time without problems. to attach a file. Go to the insert menu at the top it will ask what youw ant to insert. click on file, it will take you to your documents, click on the file you want to attach. Ann Glos

Babs When you click on create mail have you got a tool bar along the top There should be a paper clip. if its not there try clicking on tools, scroll down and make sure you have tool bar Glynis

Lindy have tried that but only brings things up that I have stored ;; the thing I want to send is just in my e-mail box and dont really want to safe just forward on to a few ;; Babs
