If you thought someone was lying on these boards and making themselves out to be something they definitely aren't, how would you handle it? |

I would send them a private message Diana, and tell them what you know. |

Is this a hypothetical question or are you suspicious of someone? |

Unless what they were doing had an adverse effect on me or someone I'm close to, I'd do nothing. It's none of my business. CB >|< |

Hi Diana, I'm not sure, it's a tricky one. It would depend on what he/she was doing. If other people are being taken for a ride, and I was sure, then I would probably say something in a pm to the person. If it continued then I would say something on the board. I would have to be very sure, though. It wouldn't be the first time it's happened. However, if it is done just for fun and there is no malicious intent to deceive I think I would leave it. Gwynne |

I dont mean to sound flippant ( if thats the right word) Diana, but it wouldn't faze me at all. If people are telling lies to make themselves appear to be someone they are not then what can you say!! SAD! I am aware that there will always be people like this wherever you go so i take half of what they say with a pinch of salt . |

1st question I would ask my self is: is it harming anyone, including myself? If not leave it where it is........ many people use message forums or chat roomsto RE INVENT tthemselves and hide behind the screen.......... if it's harmless bit of fun relieving boredom for that meber and it's not hurtful to anyone else just let it be. Countess Debi HRH ( who owns a Merc ...3 really and a mansion etc etc etc 5 houses in 4 corners LOL) I wish LOL |

Hello Diana, If they were going to harm me or my friends then I would PM them and tell them that the game's up. If they still looked like causing upset then I'd warn my friends. Hope you're ok, love becx |

I would use my common sense and deal with it myself as I saw fit I think. It's no good asking for peoples other opinions unless they know the circumstances. |

Hi Diana, im of the same opinion as quite a few others, if they werent harming anyone i'd leave well alone but if i thought others were being misled and being taken for a ride i think i would pm them and let them know theyd been rumbled. Sheila x |

Personally If you do PM them they will either ignore you and post their innocence on the board, thus making you look really really bad....and them look like the poor victim being harrassed. after all you cant prove they are not who they say they are, and you can invite trouble by trying tho prove that, But if you feel strongly that this person is lying, I would pm people whom you trust/trust you, and just warn them to watch their back. Elaine x ps aint me lol ! |
