Anne. Send the birthday card, it will be good for both of you. I know what you mean about knowing when to ring etc, i have the same dilema, its very difficult but we have to grit out teeth and hang in there. Also remember to look after yourself. You are important to and also it will help your friend also knowing you are ok. deb :-) x

Thanks Debs Everything you say is true :O) He sounded a lot brighter when we spoke this morning. Trouble is with him - no news is usually bad news - or at least I know something is up if I haven't heard from him - but then it's knowing when/whether to contact cos I don't like to badger him knowing he is down about summat. But I will persist and keep letting him know I am thinking of him. I expect I will get told off for the birthday card I am going to send - which he told me not to lol xx

Hi Anne. Sorry to hear your news. It is a very difficult thing to deal with all round. So we wont let you go with him for support, i think the fact you asked him and ask after him, he knows you are there for him. Having said that, i know how hard it is for you sitting and waiting as it were. Be strong and try to think positive. He know you care and are there for him. Scrummy debs :-)

Anne If anything sounds a bit more positive. Its all the waiting that will make you grey. And don't worrry about your actions last night needs must and all that.

Just a little update added on my first posting. Didn't have a very good night - got seriously drunk and sought comfort somewhere I shouldn't have, but hey ho! Thanks again for all the PMs - if I failed to reply - my apologies - with the turmoil of my mind and the slow speed of the site last night, I did my best. anne all i can say is find out where and what time his appointment is and be waiting outside for him, if he has a mobile , text him ans say, your outside if he needs you im so sorry for you, i send you a hug, it seems madness he couldnt give you what you both wanted, but has been like a partner to you ever since, clearly you both mean the world to each other, be brave , be positive, keep us informed how it goes, hugs to you both
