I had Salad Nicoise. Wife had to do it as I sliced a bit off my thumb when slicing vegetables for lunch. Had it dressed (thumb, not salad) at cottage hospital, took 1/2 hour inluding visiting friends mum who was in there. If I'd gone to A and E it would have taken about 5 hours. Dave

Bangers & Mash & baked beans. Got the So Good Sausages from Somerfield and I can well recommend them. Corn Beef Hash on this thread sounds very posh. In our house it is often a Monday dish - left over cooked veg from Sunday, mashed potatoe [done on Sunday], and tin of corn beef. Dish lined with potatoe then layered with veg & corn beef and topped with remaining potatoe, heated in oven for 30 mins. My daughters favourite after she's covered it with tomatoe sauce.

Hi Bec Corn dog is an old Army expression for tinned Corn Beef , Maggi is a brill flavoured sauce you get from Germany to add to anything you want including stews and roasts. Sorry to confuse you :-))))))))))
